For example, AkzoNobel formulation experts have demonstrated that a hair conditioner’s performance can be increased significantly using the company’s polymer and surfactant technologies to enhance the deposition of silicone on hair—essential to give hair that conditioned, de-tangled feel. Including just a small amount of the company’s Elfacos T212 liquid polymer in a hair conditioning formulation achieved performance superior to a leading commercial formulation. Elfacos T212 is a polyalkylene glycol derivative with the unique ability to enhance deposition of silicone onto hair fibers. In addition, it is compatible, and designed for use with, mild anionic, amphoteric, cationic, and sugar-based surfactants common to hair conditioning and cleansing formulations.
